Brendan brings nearly 30 years of national and international experience across the public and private sectors, including senior executive roles in both Queensland and New South Wales state and local governments. He is driven by a passion for shaping strategic outcomes and delivering innovative solutions to complex planning and development challenges.

A nationally recognised leader in land use planning, regional economic development, and natural disaster resilience, Brendan was honoured as the inaugural Queensland Planner of the Year in 2011 and the inaugural Australian Planner of the Year in 2012. From 2014 to 2018, he served as National President of the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA), where he played a pivotal role in elevating the organisation’s national voice on planning issues.

Brendan is a registered planner, a PIA Fellow, and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He brings a forward-thinking, solutions-driven mindset that aligns strongly with our commitment to approaching challenges differently.
